March and early April are hard on me! We see more sunshine! The temperatures are going up and I’m ready to be outside! But it still frosts and is cold enough for layers in the mornings!
Yard chores in the spring
We are getting to work on the cleanup in the garden that didn’t happen last fall. The guys are putting mulch around our trees again to beat back the weeds to make it easier to mow!
I’m so thankful that the electric company dumped some free mulch last fall so we don’t need to buy any this year.
I pulled weeds and moved branches again this weekend in preparation for spring planting.
The flowers and plants for sale at the stores are calling to me but I am resisting.
I do think it is time to plant a few seeds inside so that we don’t have to buy as many seedlings this year! But mainly I’m reflecting on what successes and failures that we had in past years.
Garden reflections help me to look forward to planting and trying new things this year. I cannot wait for the temperatures to get a little warmer to really start planting!
