I just finished giving away over 200 strawberry plants. Seriously.
Last year we planted 2 raised beds for strawberries in our “berry patch.” We put around 25 plants in each bed. Then we pretty much ignored them all summer and fall.
My friend Gwen says I have some skills at ignoring things and they grown anyway HA!
So since I didn’t do any fall clean up in the garden due to severe hip pain prior to my hip replacement, I truly expected a mess and few strawberries this spring. It was such a surprise when I got out there.
There were so many runners that had become big beautiful plants that I couldn’t walk up close to the beds! It pretty much was a mess of a berry patch.
I started sharing a few plants with different friends and finally on Saturday we dug the last of them. I love being a blessing to others from our abundance. God's economy is awesome!
So this was my lovely view when I went out the check on my newly planted raspberries this morning. I CANNOT wait for these to ripen. We are going to have tons of berries to freeze!
