I am a turtle when it comes to loosing weight. I'm thrilled if I loose a pound in a month.  It's frustrating but I'm learning a lot about how my body works.

A couple of years ago, I started following the Trim Healthy Mama plan & this was a HUGE game changer for me. 

I had tried MANY other plans/diets and not had much success. 

So I was thrilled to find something that worked!

After many ups and downs in the last 12 months, I am stalled out with a few more pounds that I want to shed. 

I tried a scheduled free style plan in the early summer.  That helped by getting me focused on including different meal types every few days.  But it is time for a change.

Ways I'm trying to really shake up my metabolism and bring things to a new level.

  • I’m avoiding eating calorie dense foods & adding more veggies to each meal. 
  • I’m shooting for meals that are filling but allow my body to go for the stored energy(fat) that I’m carrying around. 
  • I’m drinking more healthy drinks and putting more movement in to my week.  

one Week menu that avoids nuts, cheese & adds more veggies

Breakfasts

  1. Eggs fried in butter with peppers & mushrooms (s)
  2. Oatmeal with apples & 1/2 a scoop of protein powder (e)
  3. Eggs & bacon (s)
  4. French Toast (e)
  5. Snickers Smoothie (fp)
  6. Repeat one of above choices
  7. Repeat one of above choices

Lunches—all of these will be served with a salad & fresh veggies

  1. Tuna Stuffed Tomatoes (s,e,fp) p 363 in book
  2. Just Like Campbell’s soup (s,e,fp) p 292 in book
  3. Sponge Bob Crabby Patties (s) p. 338
  4. Grilled Chicken & sweet potato (e)
  5. Sloppy Joes(without bun) with “fauxtatos” (s)
  6. Beans & Rice (e)
  7. leftovers

Supper

  1. Black Bean & Tomato Salad (e)
  2. Fried Chicken w/ sauted peppers & mushrooms
  3. Grilled Steak, green beans & salad
  4. Lemon Chicken w/ Rice or Veggies (e or fp)
  5. Egg Roll in a Bowl (s)
  6. BBQ Chicken (s) --sub Truvia or Sweet Blend for sweetener
  7. leftovers

Are you needing a change?  Are you stuck like I am?  What have you tried that has revved up your metabolism?  Turtles unite & move slowly in the direction you want to go.  Your will get farther than standing still!
