Day to Day Adventures

A NEW experiment in the Garden!

I grew up with a mother and grandmother who had BIG gardens full of corn, green beans and tomatoes.  This tradition is one that I love passing on to my family.  We grow strawberries, lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers in square foot beds.

Square foot gardening is a new thing for me.  I love how the rich loose dirt makes for easy removing of weeds.  Last year when our traditional garden was SUPER wet from the rain, our raised beds had no problem with drainage and we were able to still enjoy fresh vegetables when everything in the traditional garden looked very sick.

Let's take a walk through my garden so I can show you how things grow here and the trials we have had to deal with as we learn through this new experiment!
